OMV Headquarters, Vienna

The project

The OMV headquarters in Vienna is a modern corporate office building with extensive glazed facades. Offices like this need comfortable temperatures all year — warmth in winter and cooling in summer — delivered without visible equipment on the walls or ceilings.

The challenge

Fully glazed offices gain heat in summer and lose it in winter, right at the perimeter. The building needed a single, discreet emitter that could both heat and cool along the glass line, integrate with the floor, and let different zones be controlled independently.

The Konveka solution

Konveka FCH recessed floor fan coils were installed along the facades. Fed by a hydronic circuit (heat pump or chiller), each unit provides heating and cooling from the same recessed trench, with EC fans for responsive, quiet output. Because they sit in the floor, the offices stay clean and open, with comfort delivered exactly at the glazing.

The result

Year-round comfort — heating and cooling from one hidden system along the glazed perimeter, with zone-by-zone control suited to a corporate headquarters. A single hydronic solution replaced the need for separate perimeter heating and cooling equipment.
