Trench heaters for water heating
October 7, 2026
A trench heater is a water heating unit built into the floor, most often along floor-to-ceiling glazing and shop windows. Since 2005 Konveka has been designing and manufacturing trench heaters with stainless steel casings and freestanding convectors with powder-coated casings for water heating systems.
Konveka trench heaters and freestanding convectors
- Trench heaters FH4-H – with EC fans, high output for glazed facades and low-temperature systems.
- Trench heaters FH4-M – with fans, compact height.
- Trench heaters FC – natural convection, no fan, silent operation.
- Freestanding convectors SC and SC-H – installed on the floor, natural convection.
Water convectors: where they are used
Water convectors stop cold downdraughts from large windows and create a warm air curtain along the glazing. They are used in offices, residential buildings, hotels, airports, shopping centres and public buildings.
With or without a fan
Models with an EC fan (FH4) deliver high output and fast heating and are suitable for heat pumps and low-temperature systems. Models without a fan (FC) work by natural convection – completely silently.
Why Konveka
- Stainless steel casing designed for foot traffic.
- EC motors – low energy consumption and quiet operation.
- Aluminium or oak grilles to match the interior design.
- Complete technical documentation: catalogues, selection tables, drawings, BIM.
